Apple Pie and Custard is named to mark how the Stena String Quartet almost always began a rehearsal with some chat, coffee and most importantly, some apple pie and custard.  It is an opportunity to catch up on news and enjoy each others’ company before playing.  The music is in the style of the theme tune to the great BBC television comedy series Faulty Towers, written by Dennis Wilson.
